NEWLIFE Classes

NEWLIFE Class Opportunities

Memorial Park Church places a high value on spiritual growth. Our desire is to meet people where they are in their faith development and to engage them in an intentional discipleship ministry that is both inwardly strong and outwardly focused, moving them to greater maturity in their relationship with Christ. Our purpose is to seek together how we can live out our Christian faith more practically. The goal is not just to inform our minds but to transform our hearts, so that we can look more like Jesus in our thinking, acting and feeling. We offer a new selection of NEWLIFE Classes twice a year: Fall and Winter. Additional classes through our various ministries are also offered throughout the year.

NEWLIFE Class Schedule

"ReFrame" Series
Our Fall semester begins the week of September 17th. This Fall we are offering just one class with the hope that the entire Congregation will join together to discuss a very important subject. One that helps us better understand how the biblical story shapes our lives in practical ways. The series is called ReFrame.

“ReFrame is a powerful 10-week course designed to help us look at our faith in practical ways in every area of our lives. It is a great platform for us to raise questions and to talk to one another about how our faith relates to the challenges and complexities of our modern life together.”

The format will be a combination of short video clips, a brief lecture and small break out groups for discussion. ReFrame will also be the topic of our Sermon series, tying all that we do over these next 10 weeks together. You won't want to miss it! To view this class description and register, click here. Any questions may be directed to Betsy Rumer, Executive Pastor of Ministry.

Summer Bible Study: Beginning Sunday June 3 and for the following 11 weeks, we begin a new Sunday School series on Who Is The Holy Spirit. The class will be led by retired Elder Joe Dsida, and will be based upon a 12-part lecture series developed by Dr. Sinclair Ferguson of Ligonier Ministries. Dr. Ferguson’s lectures (which we will view on DVD) are approximately 23 minutes in length, after which we will have time for comments and discussion. Notes will be provided for each class. Please come and explore a dimension of our faith which is often overlooked and taken for granted, but which we rely upon daily to remind us of the teachings of Jesus as we go about our Christian walk. Class begins at 9:30 each Sunday morning in the green room of the pre-school wing. A short prayer time begins at 9:15 before the class. Class ends promptly at 10:30AM. We are looking forward to having you in the class! No sign up necessary, just come when you can.
