Instrumental Groups
Hosanna Bells – Open to ringers from middle school through adults. This handbell choir practices on Tuesday evenings from 6:45 to 8:00, teaching intermediate bell ringing skills such as four-in-hand, use of mallets and tone chimes.
Memorial Park Ensemble – Volunteer instrumentalists from our congregation and community participate monthly in our worship services. Practices are held at 8:00 on Sunday mornings in the Huston Room. There is room for all instruments: winds, brass, strings and percussion. Just dust off your instrument and show up on Sunday morning.
Children and Youth
Kids Sing – meets from 10:20 to 10:50 a.m. on Sundays in the Fellowship Hall for several weeks during the fall and during the winter/spring. The children share songs they’ve learned in worship for Advent, Mother’s Day and at other times. Contact Ann Thompson for more information.
Adults
Chancel Choir – Composed of singers ranging from teenagers to adults, our largest choral group meets each Thursday evening from 7:30 to 9:30 for rehearsal, social time and prayer. The Chancel Choir is called each Sunday to offer musical gifts in worship and prepares special extended music offerings for the annual Service of Remembrance and the Christmas and Easter seasons.
Encore – This ministering choir of senior adults meets each Thursday morning from 10:30 to 11:30. There is more here than just singing! We enjoy great fellowship while emphasizing healthy posture, deep breathing and good mental exercise. Specializing in gospel and hymn tune arrangements, we serve in Sunday worship at Memorial Park and in worship services at local retirement facilities.
Dance
Sacred Dance Ensemble – These groups include women and girls who enjoy dancing and expressing their faith through the dance ministry. Sometimes together and sometimes separate, the adult and youth (grade school) dance teams offer their talents on Sunday mornings and special evening services.
Huston Room Art Gallery
The Huston Room Art Gallery has served for over 7 years as an attractive and desirable location for local artists to exhibit works in a wide variety of media (oil paint, watercolor, pastel, photography, print media, sculpture, fabric art and quilting). The Gallery is open to the public daily during office hours and on Sunday mornings. Exhibits are changed every 6-8 weeks.
