Hear Christ’s Song and Sing it Loud!

First we hear. Hearing requires listening. Through faith in Christ, prayer, Bible study, fellowship and worship we draw close and learn to hear His voice. Then we sing. Not just with our voices, but with our lives. With a spirit of boldness that amplifies the movement of the Holy Spirit. Through selfless service, witness, integrity and intercession, we seek to make Jesus Christ known to all people. Ultimately we want to become a community of artists dedicated to serving Christ. We invite you to join us in the journey!

TROMBONE SUNDAYS

Led by The Pittsburgh Trombone Project
Play trombone? Know someone who does?
But have you ever played in a TROMBONE CHOIR?!

Twice a year at Memorial Park Church, area trombonists gather to form an epic and powerful Trombone Choir led by "The Pittsburgh Trombone Project." Last summer, we had 40 trombonists leading worship!  Our next trombone Sunday is scheduled for January 15.  We also invite singers to come join in singing some great patriotic hymns together!

The "Pittsburgh Trombone Project" with Kevin McManus, Jim Nova, Bob Matchett, and Chris Carson leads the group. Arranger and conductor Kevin McManus notes that trombones were traditionally used in churches to accompany choirs for hundreds of years. We encourage you to come and play- we're trying to get to 76!)  The repertoire ranges from great classics to hymns, to accompanying the choir and playing together with the organ. The choir is open to all trombonists, whether professional or amateur. A good high school level is recommended due to the complexity of the music. For more information contact Jim Lueers or Kevin McManus or check us out on Facebook at Trombone Sunday.

NEXT TROMBONE SUNDAY: July 23, 2017

TWILIGHT NIGHT
A Starry Preview of area High School Musicals

Friday, February 2, 2018 @ 7:00 pm

High school musical cast soloists will present songs from their upcoming musicals and give an exciting sneak peek of their spring productions. Each spring, Pittsburgh area high schools produce fabulous musicals, spending many hours in rehearsal and a wide variety of budgets. This event is an attempt to level the playing field with no costumes or props to just get a scoop on their musical plans.  In what is normally a highly competitive atmosphere, we hope to bring students and musical lovers together to share their gifts for the good of the community. The event is called “Twilight Night” since twilight is when stars first start appearing. Come enjoy watching the stars come out and get these productions on your calendars!

Free-will donations will be accepted for the benefit of North Hills Community Outreach.

Participating schools include Hampton, North Allegheny, Northgate, Avonworth, Pine Richland, Eden Christian Academy, Shaler and Fox Chapel.
