Get the Invite

Since 2003, Memorial Park Church has been bringing
local crafters and vendors together for the shopping event of the season: the annual Christmas Spree Artisan Market! Although we took a break in 2020, we invite you to join us this year as we celebrate with cookies, tea, coffee, soup, and the chance to find that perfect gift for someone special.

The Spree is simply the perfect place to find unique gifts and get your Christmas shopping done early! From hand-crafted jewelry to hand-painted signs, homemade baby items to pet gifts and collars, upcycled furniture & antiques to fresh salsas, dips, and jams—you’ll find it all at the Spree.

Year after year, this event has grown exponentially and now features over 100 artisans and vendors. In 2019, over 1,400 people attended the event where they enjoyed complimentary Christmas cookies (all homemade by the ladies of Memorial Park Church) and hot coffee, tea, or cider. Shoppers could be seen in every corner of Memorial Park’s two buildings, checking off family friends on that early Christmas shopping list. The Spree also offers meal options including homemade hot soup—Spree guests never leave hungry!

One of the reasons the event is so popular is that shoppers know when they are purchasing those just-right items, they are also shopping for a cause. The $2 entrance fee, soup & sandwich sales, funds raised from the auction sale, combined with the donations received from the vendors themselves, go toward supporting local and global non-profits. This past year, funds raised help support mission work in Tuxpan, Mexico, funded scholarships for La Roche students to attend Coalition for Christian Outreach’s Jubilee conference, as well as provided funds for a group of children in the Aliquippa area at the Uncommon Grounds Café.

Make a difference in the lives of others this year all while shopping for loved ones for Christmas—what could be better?  We’re certain once you’re here, you’ll want to keep coming back!

Spree 2019 funds went to support:

Uncommon Grounds Café: We were able to throw a Christmas party for a group of youth in Aliquippa who all had lost someone in their family within the past year. Spree funds allowed for a veritable feast, complete with plenty of dessert options. Each child also went home with a bag of gifts to open on Christmas, and each parent was also given a gift. The party was held at the Uncommon Grounds Café in Aliquippa, and a grand time was had by all!

LaRoche University Students & CCO: Two La Roche college students were given a scholarship to fund their attendance at Coalition for Christian Outreach’s annual Jubilee conference held in downtown Pittsburgh.

Camp Kikomar: Games, crafts, and multivitamins were purchased to support families in impoverished mountain villages in Mexico. These families attended a week of camp at Camp Kikomar in Tuxpan, Mexico, and Spree funds helped support their arrival at the camp and the supplies they needed while there.

Mothers Of Preschoolers (MOPS): Funds from the Spree Soup Sale annually support our Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS), which is a community group of moms who gather twice a month at Memorial Park for friendship and encouragement.
Not only can you enjoy free homemade cookies at the Spree, but we also have a dedicated Spree Eatery! Stop by for a bowl of warm, homemade soup and other lunch items. The Spree Eatery is sponsored by Sponsored by MPC Women's Ministries and MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)

SOUP SPECIAL: Only $5.50 for a cup of homemade soup, bread, and your choice of soda or bottled water.

We'll be serving Homemade Wedding Soup, Homemade Veggie Chili, Stanganelli's Pepperoni Rolls, Garden Salad, and a variety of beverages
