What to Expect

Memorial Park has three services each weekendL one on Saturday Night at 6:00 PM in the Clayton Center, and two on Sunday morning at 9:00 & 11:15 AM in the Sanctuary.

For our Christmas services, a Contemporary Candlelight Service will be held on Saturday, December 21 at 6:00 PM in the Sanctiaty. Services on Sunday, December 22 will be held at 9:00 & 11:15 AM for the fourth week of Advent.

On Christmas Eve (Tuesday, December 24), we will have a Contemporary Service at 3:00 PM, A Family Candlelight Service at 5:00 PM, and two Traditional Candlelight Services at 7:00 & 9:00 PM in the Sanctuary. At the Candlelight Services, members and visitors are handed cancles as they enter the service, and the Ushers will light them during the service for the singing of "Silent Night." Candles are collected as you leave the service. Children are invited to participate, as well, at the discretion of their parents.

We have no dress code here at Memorial Park; rather, we invite you to come in your Christmas best, or wear what is comfortable. We simply invite you to come as you are.

For a peek at how our services are structured, take a look at the Bulletins & Newsletters page of the website. You will be able to view the previous weeks' bulletins.

During Discipleship Hour (10:10-11:00 AM) on Sunday mornings, children in grades 1-5 are invited to participate in our TRU Kids classes. These classes are a time of Christ-centered, child-targeted learning for kids. We begins with large group Bible teaching time (The Big God Story), followed by various connecting activities. This is the only hour that children will receive the full Tru Kids learning experience.

At the 11:15 AM Sunday morning service, children in grades 1-5 worship with their families for the entire service in the Sanctuary.

Teens in grades 6-12 worship with their families during both Sunday morning services. During Discipleship Hour (10:10-11:00 AM) on Sunday mornings, teens are invited to participate in Student IMPACT classes. Our Student IMPACT teen programs are designed to support students as they journey through life during the challenging years of middle and high school. We impact their lives with the message of the Gospel, help it to take root and grow so they can make an impact on the world around them. These classes are held in the Clayton Center.

Memorial Park Church places a high value on spiritual growth. Our desire is to meet people where they are in their faith development and to engage them in an intentional discipleship ministry that is both inwardly strong and outwardly focused, moving them to greater maturity in their relationship with Christ. Our purpose is to seek together how we can live out our Christian faith more practically. The goal is not just to inform our minds but to transform our hearts, so that we can look more like Jesus in our thinking, acting and feeling.

During Discipleship Hour (10:10-11:00 AM) on Sunday mornings, we offer a number of opportunities for adults to engage in studies on topics of interest, from diving deeper into the weekly sermon to special topics in the Bible. Our current classes are listed on the Adult Classes page of the website.

You are also welcome to visit our Cafe and Connections Corner to enjoy a cup of coffee and see what opportunities we have for you to get involved.
