Memorial Park Church is a diverse community of Jesus-followers that has varied opportunities designed to engage each person’s interests and passions. We offer multiple ministry areas where you can get involved; from preschoolers to teens, men and women's groups, a thriving community of seniors, and many more, each of our ministry areas hosts activities such as classes, Bible studies, fellowship opportunities, and much more.
Our community is full of thought leaders, visionaries, movers and shakers that are working on big things to make this world a better place. Throughout the year, we also offer community engagement opportunities. We hope to give everyone an opportunity to hear the powerful messages and share the impactful tools our community experts have to offer. These opportunities are also here to create a space to get to know your community better, get inspired by the wisdom we each carry, and build bridges of connections. Caring for Our Community
Memorial Park Church is a bustling place with countless opportunities for you to learn, worship, grow, and belong together with our church family. We all understand that life can be a challenge, and that support from your church community can make all the difference We want to share in your joys and to help carry your burdens. Whether you’re seeking Christian fellowship and growth when the road is smooth, or have an earnest need when you hit a rough patch, we want to provide a safe place where you are loved and cared for. We have several support groups to help provide you with the support and care you need.
The MPC Preschool and Outreach Ministries have united to offer English as a Second Language. The committment is simple: meeting with a pupil once a week for a few months to teach basic English communication skills. No experience required.
The ESL program is flexible, lessons are not restricted to a classroom setting. In fact, many tutors and their students take walks in the park, go shopping together, or share a meal at a local restaurant. Volunteers also impact the lives of their students by studying the Bible together and assisting with their travel plans. Many of these friendships have lasted for several years. Even when students move back to their homeland, many keep in touch through SKYPE and email. One particular tutor was 'adopted' by the entire family and was called 'grandma' by the student's children. The ESL program continues to grow and there are currently students in need of tutors. Please consider this rewarding way to serve God and the international community in our own backyard.
Surviving The Holidays After The Death Of A Loved One. When you are grieving a loved one's death, the holiday season can be especially painful. November 5th from 2:00-4:00pm we will be offering a two hour Surviving the Holidays seminar for adults. This is to help participants prepare for the holidays and even discover hope for the future. Each participant that registers by 10/23/23 will receive a participant book. We will make every effort to have extras but there is no guarantee without registration on or before 10/23/23. Surviving The Holidays After Divorce. After divorce, your Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays won't look the same as they used to. Traditions change. Some family members won't be there. Social gatherings can feel stressful. but DivorceCare Surviving the Holidays can help! November 1st from 6:30-8:30pm we will be offering a two hour Surviving the Holidays seminar for adults. This is to help participants prepare for the holidays and even discover hope for the future. While we cannot guarantee anonymity we do highly respect your privacy. Participant names will not be shared or published outside of the MPC Congregational Care Staff as necessary to host this event and any future DivorceCare groups we may have. Each participant that registers by 10/23/23 will receive a participant book. We will make every effort to have extras but there is no guarantee without registration on or before 10/23/23. This team of compassionate men and women demonstrates God’s love to church members by helping with practical needs, like providing rides to church, doctor’s appointments or arranging for meals to be provided to families during difficult times. They also handle requests for financial assistance to church families experiencing crisis. Contact the church office if you or someone you know could benefit from services provided by the Care Committee.
Several men in the church volunteer their time and talents to perform minor home repairs for single moms and older adults in our congregation. If you’d like to help, or are aware of a specific need, contact Men's Ministries.

Clayton Center
Mothers of Preschoolers, better known as MOPS, provides a place for young moms to find friendship and community while they enjoy engaging speakers and meaningful discussions. MOPS Meetings generally begin in early September and run until May, meeting twice a month from 9:15-11:15 AM. Childcare is offered and registration is a must in order to secure a spot for your child(ren).
