Memorial Park's search for a new

Lead Pastor

In April 2020, MPC's current Lead Pastor, Rev. Dr. D. Dean Weaver, announced his planned retirement from pastoral ministry in January of 2021. This led to church leadership's lengthy discussion regarding the next steps for Memorial Park. While initially, leadership sought to name an interim pastor, the guidelines from the EPC recommended that for healthy churches, diving in to a search for a new lead pastor is recommended. Thus, the creation of and acceptance of the Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC) came in June 2020. This page will provide you with the latest updates from the PNC and more information about the Memorial Park family.
