Join us on August 25 as we host our annual ministry year kickoff celebration! Enjoy food, fun, and fellowship with the church family at our picnic. Find out where to go, what to bring, and what to expect below! Be sure to RSVP by August 18 so we know how many to expect as we prepare for food.

What to Expect

Our annual church picnic is more than just food and friends, though that's plenty to be excited about! We also have games and activities for the entire family! We have games like miniature bowling and ring toss, guessing games and bubble machines, a bounce house and dunk tank, Can Jam, corn hole, and more! We'll also be having a special hour of Square Dancing, led by MPC's own Sharon Kopp!

The picnic begins after the 11:15 a.m. service (around 12:15 p.m.) and ends at 3:00 p.m. Food is set up for serving in the Clayton Center gym. We provide the main dish, but we ask that you bring a dish to share determined on the first letter of your last name: A-H should bring a side dish, I-P should bring a dessert, and Q-Z should bring a salad.

Tents are set up in the lawn next to the Clayton Center with plenty of tables and seating for you and your friends and family to enjoy your meal. After, check out the games and activities for a fun and relaxing day as we celebrate with the Memorial Park Family.

Be sure to RSVP by August 18 so we know how many to expect and can plan accordingly.

Ways to Serve

We have several ways you can help out with the church picnic!

Man the grill, help with setting out or serving food, and package up the leftovers! Sign up to volunteer in 1-hour shifts.

Find My Spot

Help out in the kitchen washing dishes or running food to maintain the supply in the Clayton Center. Sign up for a 1-hour shift!

Find My Spot

Help with setting up or tearing down tables and chairs for the picnic. Set up happens the Saturday before the festival (August 24) at 5:00 p.m. and tear down will happen the day of the festival at 3:00 p.m. Give us a helping hand!

Sign Me Up!

Help out with general clean up after the picnic! Empty coolers, wash left over dishes, and put away warming trays. All helping hands are appreciated!

Help out by supervising games for the little ones! Sign up for a 45 minute spot. You'll be so glad you did!
