Summer Surge, Memorial Park Church's alternative to Summer Vacation Bible School, explodes onto the Memorial Park property each summer with camp options for kids ages 4 through grade 6. Our week-long camps are open to the community—all children are welcome and you do not have to be a member of Memorial Park to register! We have half-day camp options for children ages 4-Kindergarten, as well as full day camp options for childen in grades 1-6. Our Junior and Day Camps are both held on the Memorial Park Campus, while our Summer Surge IMPACT camp is held both on campus and utilizes a variety of off-site locations. See tabs for more information about each camp offering!
($45) Our half-day Junior Camp is designed for children who will be 4 years old by June 1, 2019, through children who will complete kindergarten in the 2018-19 school year. The mission of Summer Surge Junior Camp is to encourage physical, social and spiritual growth in preschool age children. God's Word is presented in fun and imaginative ways as campers enjoy music, hands-on activities, crafts, games, snacks and interactive Bible stories all revolving around a common theme.
Summer Surge ROAR is this summer's "mane" event! Kids will discover that even though life gets wild, God is good and will stay with them forever. Send your child on this life-changing African adventure!
Choose from Session 1 or Session 2. Runs 9:30 AM-1:00 PM Monday through Friday, and on Friday parents are invited to join us for a closing party until 3:00 PM. Kids eat a packed lunch each day with their crews. New extended hours available for current Kindergartners. See the form for details.
($125) Our Day Camp is for children who will complete grades 1-5 in the 2018-19 school year. Our goal is to present the gospel of Jesus Christ to campers, encouraging each person to make a personal commitment to Him. We promote spiritual growth through daily Bible study and the memorization of key scripture passages; assist each camper in the development of Christian character through competitions and initiatives, and help him or her develop skill in two areas of interest through the afternoon electives. We encourage campers to build friendships with other campers and counselors who model the love of Christ. An “I’m Third” attitude is stressed through our camp motto: God first, others second, I’m third.
