Spiritual Gifts

Every believer has been uniquely gifted by the Holy Spirit, and those gifts are not optional extras. They are essential to the health and mission of the church. Ephesians 4 makes it clear that pastors exist to equip the people, not to do all the ministry themselves. That means every Christian is in full-time ministry, out in the world every day in places no pastor can reach. The body of Christ cannot function when any part stops contributing. When believers step back from using their gifts, real people in the community are affected. No gift is more important than another, and God intentionally designed each person with a specific purpose. The question is not whether you have a gift. The question is whether you are using it.
